Located in Ocala, ReCreate was founded by three friends who share a passion for working with their hands, making meaningful things, and building community through creativity. We believe there is deep value and well-being in producing objects of useful beauty and we want everyone to be able to experience that. Our mission is a creative triad—reclaim, create, and contribute.

• Recycle/upcycle art supplies and other items that can be used for a creative purpose, thereby keeping them out of the landfill and getting them into people’s hands for a low cost.

• Operate a thrift store that also provides a place to encourage and foster creativity for both the artistically inclined and those who desire to create.

• Provide financial support to existing artistic endeavors in the community.

ReCreate is more than a thrift shop—it’s a hub for imagination, sustainability, connection, and creative possibility. 

We give new life to leftover, surplus, and gently used materials by collecting donations from businesses, artists, educators, and households and making them available to the community at affordable prices. At ReCreate, you’ll be able to discover everything from vintage buttons and colorful paper scraps to fabric, paint, home décor samples, craft supplies, and unexpected creative treasures. Instead of sending these materials to the landfill, we will help transform them into art, classroom projects, DIY creations, and imaginative new uses.
